Wyld Stallyons,
Pixelsurgeon and
Black Convoy co-founder Richard May has produced hundreds of illustrations for a diverse range of editorial and publishing clients such as Time, Ray Gun, Wired, The Independent, The Guardian, New Scientist, Vogue Pelle, Vogue Korea, Random House and Time Warner Books. May has illustrated point-of-sale for US department store Nordstrom and UK bookstore chain Waterstones; contributed to the Peugeot 305 marketing campaign, and worked for and with numerous bands and record labels including Punish the Atom and David Byrne's Luaka Bop. Richard has taken part in various international group exhibitions, including FreshstART at The Santa Monica Museum of Art, benefiting Free Arts for Abused Children; The Design a Qee Expo 2004, for London's Playlounge toy store; with the Black Convoy collective for the Swarovski-sponsored Apartment Under Construction at New York's oldest YMCA; and with boutique lingerie label Lascivious for the 'Erotic Illustrated' Playing Card Project at London's AKA.
